Abstract: | The Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is defined as a Collection of newlinesensor nodes deployed very close to each other in a specific environment(s). newlineThe term sensor node refers to a transceiver with the ability to redirect the newlinegathered data to gateway and users for further processing. While designing newlinethe WSN, the constraints to be considered are (1) Energy, (2)Number of node, newline(3) Wireless medium, (4) Hardware, (5) Security, (6) Scalability, (7) newlineAdaptability, (8) Reliability, (9) Fault-tolerance, (10) Self-Configurability, newline(11) Channel Utilization, and (12) Quality of Service (Qos) support. There are newlineapplications of WSN are extended to diverse fields namely (1) Military newlinesurveillance, (2) Environmental, (3) Healthcare, (4) Intelligence and (5) newlineProcess control in industries.Even though there exists numerous and various research works in newlinethe past two decades the data communication in the WSN and Cluster Head newline(CH) selection procedure depends on number of parameters. The synchronous newlineclustering protocol has high network overhead due to exhaustive exchange of newlinemessage and frequent CH rotations. The asynchronous clustering approaches newlinehas extended network lifetime due to the dynamic CH selection scheme when newlineits energy becomes less than the threshold value. This approach is well newlineadapted to local and global clustering methods. newline newline |
