dc.description.abstractThis study has examined the correlation existing between the performance of newlineemployees and eight key job dimensions, namely job perception, work newlineorientation, role clarity, goals, personal initiative/proactive, motivation, newlinecommunication, and attitude in a specific scientific research organization. newlineThe study also examined the correlation between the performance of newlineemployees and the organization structure/ organization culture existing in newlinethis scientific organization. The study was further extended to examine the newlineinter-correlation existing between all these dimensions. The study reveals newlinethat though performance is correlated to eight of these ten dimensions, but newlinethere also exists mild to strong inter correlations among each of these newlinedimensions respectively. The strongest correlation is seen between newlineOrganization Culture and the Attitude of employees (0.7) for Plt0.01. A newlinestrong correlation is also seen between Organization Structure and newlineOrganization Culture (0.6) for Plt0.01, Organization Structure and newlineAttitude (0.6) for Plt0.01 and, Attitude and Job Perception (0.06) for newlinePlt0.01. The study concludes that the structure and the culture of an newlineorganization have a strong impact on the job perception and attitude of the newlineemployees. Also, scientific organizational excellence can be obtained by newlinefocusing on job perception, role clarity, goals, motivation, communication, newlineattitude, organization structure and the organization culture, since all these newlinedimensions show positive correlation with performance.
