dc.description.abstractThe study identified individual, family and organisational factors affecting the newlinework life balance of female doctors of Dakshina Kannada District. Individual factors include life style, decision making and career satisfaction. Family factors include domestic responsibilities and financial support by the family. Organisational factors include physical felicities, career development opportunities, attitude towards newlinemanagement, pride in job, constitutionalism, job stress, work load and employee friendly benefits. Work life balance has an impact on burn out, general health, mental health, physical health, life satisfaction, family satisfaction and professional commitment. These consequences are the mediators which influence the job performance, job satisfaction, and commitment to work place and ultimately affect the loyalty and intension to leave the organisation. newline
