Design of a Sustainable Quality Management Model for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Based on Bhagavad Gita

Abstract

This research involved exploratory-causal research design that involved both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative approach included literature review, expert group discussion, experience survey and expert opinion survey in the path of building the Quality Management Model. Te quantitative study involved a survey on MSMEs registered with KASSIA Bangalore. A combination of convince and purposive sampling method was followed to select the sample of MSMEs. The analysis was carried out using an SPSS tool and involved regression analysis and one tail t test. newlineThe Major outcome of this research is a sustainable Quality Management Model built on the fundamentals of Work place Spirituality extracted from the Bhagavad Gita. This study has brought out failure of TQM implementation at MSMEs in Bangalore and suggests a Spirituality based model to improve the effectiveness of the same. newlineThe research concludes by providing both the Managerial and Theoretical implications arising from applying Spirituality to workplace and the benefits derived from the same. newline newline
