Abstract: The bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearumis a very important pathogen which drastically damages the solanaceous crops and newlineaffects their commercial value. Rhizospheric soil sample of wilted solanaceous crops including potato, chilli, brinja, tomato, brinjaland sweet papper(capsicum) from the Indian states like Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, newlineOdisha and Himachal Pradesh for isolation of antagonistic bacteria were newlinecollected during 2014-2015. Out of 123 isolates of rhizbacteria,39belonginged to Bacillus amyloliquefaciensbased on colony characters, morphological, biochemical and 16s rDNA sequence analysis and sequence newlineanalysis of bacialeane gene and characterized for antagonistic property as well as plant growth promoting activities in vitro. newline
