Abstract: This research is focused on the development of a novel direct torque newlinecontrol DTC method for threephase cage induction motor with reduced newlinetorque and flux ripple and also to apply this strategy to a Hybrid Electric newlinevehicle Viable torque and flux control schemes of induction motors are newlineDirect Field Oriented Control DFOC Indirect field oriented control IFOC newlineand Direct torque control DTC Among the torque and flux controllers DTC newlineis preferable for high power range applications When compared to the newlineschemes of field oriented control FOC DTC has a good dynamic control of newlinethe torque without any mechanical transducers on the shaft DTC does not newlinerequire any current regulator coordinate transformation and PWM signals newlinegenerator as consequence timers In addition, DTC is less sensitive to the newlineparameters detuning in comparison with FOC newline newline
