Abstract: Water-soluble polymers interpret a miscellaneous class of macromolecules ranging from naturally occurring polymers such as polysaccharides, majority of polypeptides to entirely man-made materials. These materials have wide-range of application, such as thickening, gelling, flocculating agent, rheology modifying and stabilizing agent. They are also used for a wide variety of application including food processing, water treatment, paper industry, enhanced oil and natural gas recovery, mineral processing, detergents, textiles treatment, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, petroleum production, drug delivery and surface coatings. newline
