Abstract: | Abstract newlineRole of aerosols in regional as well as global climate has gained wide knowledge base during last couple of decades, yet it is still unknown for many aerosol species. General impact of aerosols is to cool the atmosphere and due to their cooling property, they are supposed to partially compensate the atmospheric warming, which is caused by post-industrial enhancement of green house gases. Although, majority of aerosol types are giving cooling effect, atmospheric warming due to aerosols is also noticed when absorbing particles, such as black carbon (soot) and/or mineral dust, are dominating in the atmosphere. Overall, researchers have much to gain about the knowledge of how to approach aerosols to estimate their affect on regional and global climate. We have so far to perfectly compute the relative impacts on climate of natural aerosols and those of human being source. Besides, we do not know in what regions of the planet the amount of atmospheric aerosol is growing or retreating or remaining almost unchanged. Measurements of the spatiotemporal variations in the concentration of aerosol particles and their physical properties and chemical composition are necessary to set up a fundamental, quantitative accepting of their direct sources, their formation from chemical reactions in the atmosphere, their existence in the atmosphere, and their physical and chemical properties in order to conclude their impacts on the global climate and human health. newline |
