Abstract: | This study revealed that when managerial employees in the Indian manufacturing sector feel empowered, motivated, valued in the organization, they feel emotionally attached and morally obligated towards the organization. When the information regarding the critical issues of the organization are shared with the managers of all level, when their opinions are sought regarding the functioning of the newlineorganization or regarding their own work, it creates a feeling of worthiness in the newlineemployee by the organization. In the same manner, when employees feel that their newlineskills, hard work is fairly evaluated and is in the direction of growth, it also creates a feeling of commitment in the employees for their organization. So, it becomes of utmost importance for the organizations to manage and fairly implement the policies regarding the direction, evaluation, and growth of the organization so that the organization can retain the talented/ competent employees as it is the necessity of today s business world for the survival of any organization. This study is exploratory newlinein nature and provides a direction for future research in exploring issues arising from the findings. The study also has significant implications for organizations in the steel and automotive sectors which are trying to create workplace conditions that are conducive for retaining their talented employees. newline |
