Investigations on testing the quality and remote sensing of certain engineering systems using virtual instrumentation technique

Abstract

In the industrial world measurement and automation applications are no longer confined to a single computer but they are often required to make measurements at locations which are physically separated from a monitoring station The design of such system requires either centralized or decentralized method of measurement and automation functions Sharing the data is an important requirement of today s measurement applications In other cases the wide spread deployment of the Ethernet can offer several advantages acquisition analyzing and presentation could be extended over a local network a company Internet or Intranet The objective of this thesis is to introduce certain testing methodologies for industrial strategies The proposed methodologies are useful in testing the analog meters the quality of sheet metals the water quality for water treatment plants and the network protocols newline
