Abstract: The photodegradation of two basic dyes i.e. basic yellow 28 and basic violet 14 and their binary solution was evaluated using titanium dioxide mediated heterogeneous photocatalysis. The photocatalysts were immobilized in the present study on polymer specimen. The bismuth doped titanium dioxide and nitrogen doped titanium dioxide photocatalysts were prepared by wet impregnation method. The doped titanium dioxide samples found to have superior photocatalytic properties for degradation of dyes as compared to undoped titanium dioxide under solar light conditions.
