dc.description.abstract | Employee s serves as major assets of any organization and they play an active role towards a newlinefirm s success. Objectives / Background: Training becomes an essential component to newlinemaximize the job performance and also retain and position them in their jobs and also to take newlinethe challenges of today s competitive business environment. In order to understand the study, newlinevariables such as work skills, people skills, leadership skills, customer skills, and individual newlinedevelopment programs offered to the employees in the firms were discussed and also the newlineresearch focus on identifying the training programs existing in the industry and the effects of newlinetraining on employee performance. Methods: A quantitative research approach of the data newlinecollection was adopted using a questionnaire comprising of 40 questions distributed to newline950employees, out of which 536 respondents have given their inputs to progress my study. newlineBased on the sample, the results obtained indicate that training has an impact on the newlineperformance of employees. Convenient sampling method was employed. Analysis for the newlinestudy was performed with Correlation, Chi Square, Correspondence, Multiple Regression and newlineFactor Analysis, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), Confirmatory Factor analysis (CFA) newlineand Path Analysis. newlineFindings: The statistical analysis of the study revealed that that there is a significant positive newlinerelationship between Motivation and Commitment by performing Correlation Analysis. There newlineis association between areas of training and age group of employees which is analysed by newlineperforming Chi - Square test and by performing Multiple Regression Analysis, it is proved newlinethat evaluation of action is significantly predicted by independent variables such as receiving newlinesuggestions, sharing information and responding to changes to achieve organizational newlineobjectives through performance of employee s. Applications / Improvements: Employee s newlineknowledge, skills and abilities helps them to perform well at their jobs, which in turn requires newlineproper training, as it has an impact on employee motivation and commitment. Employee newlinetraining improves productivity and increases profitability of the firms. Training can have an newlineimpact on customer satisfaction, product quality and maintaining reputation of the firms. newline | - |
