Abstract

Conventionally ceramic grinding media are produced using powder newlinecompaction methods Fabrication of high quality fine grinding media newlinediameter less than 1mm via powder compaction has certain limitations in newlinethe processing parameters such as variations in size density strength and newlineshape since even a slight change in any of the processing parameter leads to newlinedrastical structural changes In order to overcome these limitations a novel newlineprocessing technique based on solgel route has been developed to produce newlinenearnetshaped prototype zirconia minispheres1mm with required newlineproperties that could potentially be used as grinding media newline newline
