dc.description.abstractnewlineThe aim of the present work is to develop and characterize organicinorganic newlinehybrid polymer nanocomposites using Polyhedral oligomeric newlinesilsesquioxane POSS a derivative of cubic silsesquioxane referred to as newlinePOSS and tetraethoxysilane TEOS as reactive nanoprecursors were newlinedeveloped using three different types of matrices namely epoxy resin newlineunsaturated polyester and cyanate ester The cubic silsesquioxane based newlineorganic inorganic hybrid nanocomposites and two types of organic inorganic newlinehybrids were developed based on polystyrene and cyanate ester using newlinetetraethoxysilane through sol gel method utilizing covalent bond interaction newlinebetween the organic polymer and inorganic siloxane The nanoprecursors and newlinechemical intermediates used in the present work namely newlineoctaphenylsilsesquioxane OPS octanitrophenylsilsesquioxane ONPS newlineoctaaminophenylsilsesquioxane OAPS newline newlineen_US
