Abstract

Aerobic composting is the decomposition of organic materials in the presence of oxygen Since composting is an inexpensive simple and environmentally sound process for waste newlinedisposal the composting of Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste with thickened and dewatered undigested primary and secondary sludge has been widely applied Composting of the organic portion of the waste is an Municipal Solid Waste management practice with much more potential than has been realized to date The purpose of the present study was to develop and provide the methodology and model required for planning of an effective composting technology for sustainable development and to newlineassist the Coimbatore corporation in managing the solid waste in a scientific way The study was also carried out to ascertain the feasibility of using in vessel and static pile composting process with the addition of agro based industrial waste newline
