Abstract: Oxidation reactions occupy a prominent place in both the science of newlinecatalysts and catalysisbased modern chemical industry In earlier days newlinestoichiometric metal oxidants such as permanganate and chromates were used newlinefor chemical transformations But excessive quantities of toxic metals lead to newlinethe unavoidable production of large amounts of toxic waste which in turn newlinenecessitate disposal newlineCatalysts are divided broadly into two groups as homogeneous and newlineheterogeneous When compare to homogeneous catalysts heterogeneous newlinecatalysts have the advantages of ease recovery and recycling separation of the newlinecatalyst from the reactants and products by simple filtration and more newlineimportantly they are environmentally friendly newline newline
