Abstract: IT industry, by and large, is very different from non-IT industry segment from various aspects because of its nature of the business to deal with, the requirements from clients, stringent mandatory standards for globalization to meet delivery framework and to provide cost-effective solutions. Matrix organization system is a well-known framework in non-IT industries and a great number of research studies were conducted in the past on this organizational segment. The current research emphasizes on the study of matrix framework implementation in the IT outsourcing industry and explores the various artefacts by conducting numerous surveys crossing the geographical boundaries across several large ITO segments present internationally. It highlights the need for further investigation of various concepts by conducting further formal research to evaluate the true worthy of a matrix framework in ITO outsourcing segment. newline newline newlineExtensive analysis of the data bank for the possible academic article was done to extract the past and the present scenario of information in matrix organization in IT outsourcing industry across the globe. They have listed in chapter-2 and some of the notables remarks from the literature review are listed at the end of the chapter. newline newlineSeven hypotheses were framed based on the variables and the root factors (Employee level issues, continuous improvement plan, authority and responsibility issues, Global issues and conflict management) that were part of the research. To conclude, this study explored the current situation of the ITO. Majority of the factors needs an attention and the possible remediation for each issue is explained. The action plan from the ITO organizations is needed, as they play a vital role in the effectiveness of Matrix organization system. This study also would help in suggesting further research scope in MOS, as there are some factors that need exceptional attention to analyse and understand better through the unique research process.
