dc.description.abstractTransparent conducting oxide TCO thin films are newlinesemiconducting materials having i large band gap values typically 3 eV newlineii relatively high electrical conductivityiii high optical transmittance in newlinethe visible region and iv high reflectance in the IR region This unique newlinecombination of physical properties such as high transmittance and electrical newlineconductivity makes them suitable for a variety of applications in newlineoptoelectronic devices TCOs can be prepared by multilayer coatings based newlineon thin metal films in which the conductivity arises from the metallic layer newlinedielectricmetal dielectric structure or by a single layer based on wide band newlinegap semiconductors like ZnO SnO2 In2O3 etc Different deposition methods newlineof both vacuum and non vacuum techniques have been used for the newlinepreparation of TCOs newline newlineen_US
