Abstract: | We have reported the synthesis of 3-acetyl-4-phenyquinoline/acridine based newlineenaminone and its derivatives using DMFDMA as a building block. And also newlinesynthesis of 3-acetyl-4-phenylquinoline based pyrazole, isoxazole, pyrimidin, phenyl newlineamino-prop-2-en-1-one, pyridin-2-yl-amino-prop-2-en-1-one, 2-methylpyridine-3- newlinecarboxylatederivatives using hydrazine, hydroxylamine, guanidine hydrochloride, newlineaniline, 2-amino pyridine, and ethylacetoacetate as building block by solvent-free newlinereaction condition under microwave irradiations and conventional process. All the newlinecompounds were characterized by spectroscopic techniques like 1H NMR, 13C NMR, newlineDEPT-135, H, H-COSY, HSQC and mass spectrometry (HR-MS). These newly newlinesynthesized analogues have shown excellent to good antibacterial, antifungal and newlineantioxidant activity. newlineCompounds containing amide bond in 3-acetyl-4-phenylquinoline can be prepared by newlineusing coupling reagents such as EDC, HATU and DCC in presence of DIEPA as a newlinebase in DMF. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by NMR and mass newlinespectral data and then tested for in vitro antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and newlineantidiabetic activity. newlineSimilarly we synthesized different sulfonamides by chosen 3-acetyl-4- newlinephenylquinoline containing primary amine as one of the starting material in THF. The newlineproducts were characterized through spectral data and screened for their in vitro newlineantibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant activities and antidiabetic activity. newline |
