Performance enhancement with improved security using soft computing techniques for large scale RFID system

Abstract

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a contactless identification technology that allows machine-driven gathering and causation of knowledge between RFID tags and readers employing a wireless link. Further the mobile RFID system is one of the novel applications to use mobile phone as RFID reader with a wireless technology and offers innovative valuable facilities to user by integrating RFID system and the wireless mobile newlinecommunication system. Mobile RFID systems play major roles in defence, customs and newlineborder protection, industries like atomic power plants, refineries, etc. Despite many prospective applications, mobile RFID technology has several security related problems such as eavesdropping, cloning, and tampering attacks which should be resolved efficiently. Several researchers addressed security issues with different approaches and most of them are based on fixed conventional RFID readers only. In real time process, tracking of objects allows an agency to record, track and examine an object and these features enhance the public service through better on-time performance and quicker response time for emergency. newline newline
