Abstract: | In the modern days, there are two important upcoming domains with enormous hidden information that are useful for social development. These are healthcare and telecommunication. Analyzing these domains would help to improve the social welfare. newlineHealthcare organizations in India are growing at a faster rate. Medical practitioners need information technology based system to store, share and analyze the healthcare data throughout the nation. The environment supports only data management system present in each organization. The analysis of single family medical history scattered among various organizations is not possible because the healthcare data are huge in size and newlinedifferent in nature. To predict the nature of the hereditary disease at an early stage, family members medical history needs to be analyzed. Analyzing hereditary disease requires the integration of healthcare data from various resources. The present research deals with the prediction of two hereditary diseases, namely diabetes and breast cancer. The first part of the research deals with the prediction of diabetics. It uses ontology based system to integrate healthcare data. The patients close blood relatives are identified by implementing rule based reasoning technique. In the same way, hereditary disease is identified using Case Based Reasoning (CBR) technique. The advantage of the proposed system is to understand the nature of hereditary disease of the patients in the family at an early stage. newline newline |
