Mobile Ad hoc Network MANET with a fully decentralized newlinetopology is dynamically changing Applications of ad hoc networks range newlinefrom military operations emergency disaster relief community networking newlineand interaction among meeting attendees or students during a lecture The newlineexpanding range of capabilities and various uses of mobile computing devices newlinehave made MANET a vibrant field of activity for both researchers and newlinecommercial developers Perhaps MANET nodes do not belong to any newlineparticular authority In fact they are autonomous entities which manage their newlineown resources such as battery power and available data transmission newlinebandwidth the deployment of MANET however poses several challenging newlineissues due to the dynamic nature of the nodes the arbitrary nature of newlinetopology the limited wireless range of nodes and transmission errors Since newlineall the nodes in the network collaborate to forward the data packets the newlinewireless radio channel is tend to passive and active Denial of Service DoS newlineattacks Besides these challenges providing security guarantees makes it newlineparticularly difficult newline newlineen_US
