Abstract: | As a matter of fact, the current era had proved that information technology has newlinetremendous impact on accounting information systems whether in input stage, process newlinestage or output stage. This development in AISs led to occurrence of essential changes in newlinebusiness environments of economic sections specifically banking sector. newlineThe current study is focused primarily on banking sector in both countries, newlineYemen and India due to the vital role that banking sector plays in national economy to newlineboth countries. So, the present study is concentrated on knowing the current performance newlineof accounting information systems being applied in banking sector in both countries from newlinerespondents point of view, who work in banking sector, specially whose work is related newlineto accounting information system. For this purpose, the study has adopted five newlinedimensions which in turn accomplish the general target of the current study. These newlinedimensions represent in system quality, information quality, service quality, ease of usage newlineand users satisfaction. newlineThe present study depended on descriptive approach, and the questionnaire method newlinewas the suitable technique to collect data related to the study. And statistical package of newlinesocial sciences (SPSS) was applied in analysis of collected data of the present study. In newlinethe present study the most suitable scales are nominal scale for measuring demographic newlinedata and ordinal scale to measure questionnaire of the present study it being depended on newlinefive likert scale. So, non-parametric tests specially One-Sample Wilcoxon Signed Rank test newlineto test the differences between samples and Mann Whitney test for testing hypotheses of newlinethe current study is applied. newlineAs for results of the current study, regarding hypotheses of the study, alternative newlinehypotheses are accepted in return null hypotheses are rejected, according to Mann newlineWhitney.
