Abstract: | Cloud computing adoption is catching-up quickly, with industries starting to realize the power of shared environment which helps in driving savings and efficiencies. However, with the world tending toward emerging trends such as the and#8213;Cloud Computingand#8214;, concerns about security and protection of the data and other such security problems should not act as a roadblock for adoption of cloud computing. Hence providing a robust cloud security solution becomes a very important area for research. There are a number of security threats coupled with cloud computing which must be effectively addressed; for instance, loss of governance, authentication, authorization, data confidentiality, data integrity, availability and malicious attacks etc. Techniques proposed by the existing works attempt to address these security issues through encryption and authorization model to provide access control to the outsourced data. Apart from these, the existing research works concentrate on the minimization of key distribution, and the cost reduction involved in the interactions of data Owner and outsourced data storage etc. These benefits are realized for the scenario of single Owner only, which unfortunately comes with the disadvantage of heavy dependency on one Owner. In single Owner scenarios, the group authority or the Owner of the data has the ability for storing, editing and modifying the data in the cloud. But in multi-Owner concept, it provides greater flexibility in real time applications. All the Owners in the group can read, edit and change their fraction of the data in the whole file shared by the organization. newline |
