Abstract: Manufacturing sector become more focussed in recent decade due to the business boom and global intervention with the results of contemporary globalization and industrialization. Many new innovative strategies were introduced and revolution among those strategies become a non-ending story. Recent popularity on 3D printing and additive manufacturing questions the existing practices all around the world. Contrary to this change over, the production rate, quality and efficiency are significantly improved over the existing systems. This periodical technological shift highly pressures the manufacturers to adapt these new technologies into their manufacturing systems. Unlikely most of the manufacturers fail to fit into this new system, due to various reasons like lack of capital, lack of funding, lack of awareness, lack of professional bodies and so on. In addition to these technological shifts, ethical and reputation oriented shifts can also play a vital role in the shaping of manufacturing sectors. Recent development in manufacturing sector with the newlinefocus of sustainability alters the way of manufacturers thinking, in addition withconsidering supply chain risk and resilience. For the survival, multi perspective newlineanalysis is needed to sustain in the manufacturing context. Contrary to this, recent years taught the manufacturers and shareholders that not only the financial benefits can upgrade the manufacturing industry but also consideration of environment and societal benefits give meaningful returns to the sector. In the row, the manufacturing sector, started to evolve from production based manufacturing (ford system) to quality and waste reduction manufacturing systems (lean manufacturing). newline newline
