Abstract: | The organizations maintain a variety of information regarding many constraints. As the data in the organization grows, the threat to the information also increases. The requirement of strategic security management approaches is increasing every day. The reason behind is the information maintainers face many challenges. There are many threats to the information of the organization which cannot be handled with the support of common password based approaches. The password based approaches suffer to achieve the performance due to their poor tampering quality. The keyword and encrypted passwords have been used in a different situation but could not produce required information security. To overcome the issue of information security, there are many approaches has been described by the researchers. Even though there are many methods available, the usage of biological features would help to improve the information security. In earlier stage, the finger prints has been used as the biological feature to support biometric authentication. The finger print image has many issues due to the reason that the capturing device would introduce more noise in the image and affects the performance of authentication. The main drawback of captured image has automated analysis of poor quality image analysis for feedback and problem resolution. This captured data is then compared to the biometric data of several other persons kept in a database. So the development of iris based authentication has been emerged. Still in the iris based authentication the image captured has noise to disturb the authentication performance. The iris image has many parts from the pupil, eyelash and different boundaries. newline |
