Abstract: As the natural and synthetic chalcone derivatives displays considerable biological, newlinepharmaceutical, prodrug and enzyme inhibitory activities these are very important class newlineof compounds. newlineChalcones also acts as photocrosslinking monomers and undergo 2and#960;+2and#960; newlinecycloaddition and forms polymers which is useful in lithography, printing, liquid crystal newlinedisplay, non linear optical material and integral circuit technology. newlineHere in this report we are reporting the synthesis characterization and newlinebiological activities of chalcones containing phosphate and triazine moiety at their core. newlineChalcones containing phosphate moiety at its core acts as potent drug against newlinecancer and viral infection. Also acts as a photo cross linking monomer. These are also newlinewidely useful in the medicinal and pharmaceutical field. newlineChalcones containing triazine moiety at their core also acts as a potent drug in the newlinemedicinal and pharmaceutical field. As these contains and#945;, and#946;-unsaturated carbonyl group, newlineacts as a photo cross linking monomer. newlineHere in this report we have synthesized the tri-aldehydes (3 and 12) and triketones newline(7 and 15) as a key precursor in the formation of organophosphorus tri-chalcones newline(5a-5h and 9a-9h) and tri-chalcones containing triazine moiety(13a-13h and 16a-16h) at newlinetheir core. The key precursors are obtained under mild conditions by using TBAB as a newlinephase transfer catalyst. newlineThese newly synthesized tri-chalcones 5a-5h; 9a-9h showed negligible anti newlinebacterial activity, good to moderate enzyme inhibition activity and underwent the photo newlinecross linking under visible light. But the tri-chalcones 13a-13h and 16a-16h showed good newlineto moderate antimicrobial activities, enzyme inhibition activity and also underwent photo newlinecross linking under visible light. newlineAll the results and synthetic routes are decrypted chapter wise in detail in this newlinereport. newline
