Studies on Synthesis and Properties of New O N and S Heterocyclic Compounds

Abstract

This thesis is mainly focus on the chemistry of nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur containing heterocyclic compounds possessing interesting pharmacological properties. The heterocyclic compounds having -C- O C, C=N-N, C= N-O, C S, C- NH group in the ring have important role in organic synthesis because these groups are biologically active. The heterocyclic compounds play an important role in agriculture field. They also possess other application such as co-polymer, photographic developers, photo sensitizer, and light stabilizer, optical brightening agents, corrosion inhibitors, fluorescent and dyes stuff etc. The heterocyclic compounds are also occupied by changing the biological activity. It was found that in the literature N, O, S containing heterocyclic compounds like Isoxazoline, N-phenyl Pyrazoline, Benzodiazepines, and Bazothiazepines have been attributed wide range of biological activity. newlineThe heterocyclic compounds such as Isoxazoline, N-phenyl Pyrazoline, Benzodiazepines, and Bazothiazepines are synthesized from and#945;, and#946;-unsaturated ketones have exhibiting moderate to good activity such as antimicrobial, antituberculaosis, anticonvulsant, cardio tonic, bold pressure lowering, induced sleeping and anti-inflammatory etc. However the halogen substituted heterocyclic of this kind are not reported and studies.
