Abstract: | Wireless sensor networks are one of the significantly developing areas in recent days. The strategies, software, and platforms involved in WSN are also increasing in terms of improvements. Due to the advancements, the applications used under WSN are also growing rapidly. WSN applications comprise of various numbers of sensor nodes. Military, Airport surveillance, Hospital communication, patient monitoring and surveillance and Govt. Communications are the emerging areas in WSN applications. WSN communicates through sensor devices called sensor nodes which are deployed randomly and dynamically. All sensor nodes are controlled by battery, mobility, speed, the limitation is communication range and restricted bandwidth. For all necessary activities including alive in the network, the sensor nodes need some amount of energy. At the same time, any node in the network can communicate with any other nodes in the network. Security is also very poor in WSN and its applications. Because of this reason, nodes are dynamic vulnerabilities are created automatically or manually in the network, whereas it spoils the data and data transmission. In order to provide security, avoid data loss and improve the efficiency of data transmission it is essential to provide a secured data transmission in WSN and its applications. One of the secured communication methods is providing a Trust Management (TM). A Trust Management calculates trust value for all the participants in the communication for security. newline newline newline |
