Abstract: | In the modern distributed computing era, evolution of grid computing, virtualization and service oriented architecture technologies brings the new and expedient technology for the users which is called as cloud computing. The Cloud Computing provides all the computing resources like hardware and software as a service over the internet to the users when the user need, in which the services may offer by independent provider or group of service providers. Cloud service providers like Google, Amazon, Microsoft etc., interconnects the large scale of virtualized data centers with servers that offers the computing resources like networking, storage, processing unit, application and its execution environment for the consumers with newlinedynamically provisioning the services on demand basis with minimal cost. By the definition of NIST, the cloud computing is described with five characteristics such as broad network access, on demand self service, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured service, four deployment models such as Public Cloud, Private cloud, Hybrid cloud and Community cloud, and three service models such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).The cloud computing has taken care of all the issues related with business and provides more freedom for the enterprise to concentrate more on the enrichment of business. The cloud computing eliminates the initial setting up cost for the enterprises by providing infrastructure, software and platform as a service and increases the energy efficiency. It reduces the energy cost of the enterprises since the newlinephysical infrastructure is not maintained locally. newline newline newline |
