Abstract: | A Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) comprises number of mobile hosts which is connect with each other via wireless communication. The open medium and large distribution of mobile nodes construct MANETs vulnerable to various malicious attacks. The presence of malicious nodesdirects to security issues and disturbs routing performance of network. Therefore, it is significant to design effective intrusion detection mechanism to guard MANETs from numerous malicious attacks. Recently, many research works are developed for detecting the intrusions in MANETs. However conventional intrusion detection technique is not efficient for newlineIdentifying the multiple intrusion detection in MANETs. Therefore, this research works focus on identifying the multiple intrusion attacks in MANETs with higher intrusion detection accuracy and reduced energy consumption. Conventional Intrusion Detection and Adaptive Re sponse (IDAR) mechanism was intended for detecting the intrusions and providing effective response with low network performance degradation. But, the energy consumed for detecting the intrusion was more which lacks the lifetime of network. Besides, Enhanced Adaptive ACKnowledgment (EAACK) was designed for performing intrusion detection in MANETs. But, intrusion detection performance was not efficient which reduce intrusion detection rate. In addition, Reliable Minimum Energy Cost Routing (RMECR) was presented for improving the performance of energy efficiency of routing in MANETs. newline newline |
