The growth of multimedia data in the internet has forced users to newlinehandle large amounts of data With the increasing demand for information newlinethe efficient delivery of data in visual form the requirement of a large newlinebandwidth and timing constraints have remained a challenge to researchers newlineThe bandwidth and network resources are very scarce These have forced the newlineresearchers to find suitable queue management and scheduling algorithms for newlinevideo streaming for which a simulation environment is needed It provides an newlineopportunity to create modify and study the behavior of a real time model A newlinesimulator using ns 2 in Linux environment has been proposed in this thesis to newlinesimulate the network newlineA fair share of network resources for each session is guaranteed by newlinethe scheduling and queue management algorithms Scheduling algorithms newlinesuch as the WRR and the DRR and queue management algorithms such as newlinethe SFQ SFB and the VC have been described briefly These algorithms were newlineanalyzed in the proposed simulation environment newline newlineen_US
