The technologically developing society is constantly demanding newlinethe restrictions of conventional materials and placing latest demands on newlinematerial performance. Composite material is a material system newlinecomposed of a mixture or combination of two or more materials which newlineare insoluble in each other. Composite material comes under one newlinecategory of the engineered material developed specifically to meet the newlinechallenges. Since, the use of composites is budding progressively in a newlinevariety of industries such as aircraft, marine, automobile, sports, etc. newlineComposite materials are designed to acquire specific properties for newlinea particular application by composite material designer. The belongings newlinerequired by the designer may not easily satisfied by convention newlinematerials or alloys but by manufacturing of new advanced composite newlinematerial will meet expectations. The benefits obtainable from the new newlineadvanced composite materials are higher fracture toughness, corrosion newlineresistance, good resistance to heat, cold and moisture, ease of newlinefabrication and low cost could be brought out; of course, not all together newlinesimultaneously. The advantages of composite materials include high newlinespecific strength, fatigue strength, high specific stiffness, impact newlineresistance, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and good newlinedimensional stability. newlineAmong the machining processes, drilling is most repeatedly used newlinein industries to necessitate the assembly of components. However, the newlineproperties of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite materials like newlinenon homogeneity and abrasiveness provide problems like unnecessary newlinetool wear, poor surface finish, delamination, fiber pullout, dimensional newlinevariation, etc. Drilling of holes is one of the main significant machining newlineoperations to initiate the assembly of parts by screws, rivets and bolts.
