Abstract: | newlineIn developing countries, People living in deep rural areas who are not able to consume the power from the national grid may suffer a lot for their basic power necessities. It is important to turn an alternate way to generate power in these circumstances. There is an abundant feature for nanogrid most likely to be consumed in small local loads of rural area as they will be more cost effective than the normal grid power system. The application of renewable sources such as wind energy and solar energy in power generation system are noteworthy due to the environmental anxieties over the burning of fossil fuels to generate electricity. In this research, a large centralized electricity grid is replicated on a smaller scale by a nanogrid in isolated locations where the grid connectivity is not viable. It is easy to operate the nanogrid independently or it can be connected to the mains and probably the internal voltage can be utilized either AC or DC. Meenakshi Oothu, a village in Manalur Panchayat near Perumparai on lower Kodaikanal hills, Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India is one among the villages that newlinesuffered a lot with non-availability of power. newline newline |
