Abstract: | Water is essential for any living being to be alive . From the day of newlinebetter civilized life of human beings, the water obtained from the mother newlinenature, is being processed and supplied to public consumption is the usual newlinepractice followed in all developed and developing countries. Though Water newlineTreatment (WT) plants are already equipped with systematic and sequential newlinephysicochemical processes, still they need to be optimized to obtain a better newlinetreated drinking water to maintain the quality standards as prescribed by newlineWorld Health Organization. Hence, intelligible data extraction and newlinepresentation to the control systems in a short span of time become inevitable. newlineAgeing factor and highly contaminated influent would be held responsible to newlinedisqualify the plant. Therefore, it is mandatory to preserve the quality newlineparameters as per the standards. This research work aims to increase the newlinequantity of treated water within the same time of existing plant operation. In newlineaddition, water wasted due to improper sludge removal time is also reduced newlinethrough a novel measurement system. Related researches were conducted in newlineTreatment plant located at KELAVERAPALLY, in Krishnagiri district newlineconstructed in the year 1987. The treatment plant investigated has a present newlinedelivering capacity of 3 MLD (Million liters per day). A model of flash mixer newlinewith scaled down dimensions was used to conduct the experiment. Data sets newlineobtained through modified flash mixing process were validated using neural newlinenetwork and further optimized using Differential evolution (DE) algorithm newlineunder a novel flash mixing strategy newline newline |
