Abstract: | The increasing demand for sustainable energy sources in today s newlineworld has become a strong driving force in continuing economic newlinedevelopment, and improvement of human living conditions. In the near newlinefuture, fossil fuel era will soon be vanished according to the British Petroleum newlinestatistics. In addition, increasing energy demand, depletion of petroleum crude newlineoil, climate change and emission of CO2, SOx and NOx from fossil fuels make newlineit a high priority for emphasizing the removal of sulphur, nitrogen and oxygen newlinecompounds from crude and bio oil. Bio-oil cannot be directly used as fuel newlinebecause of high oxygen content (45 50%) which is responsible for poor newlinestability and low volatility of the fuel. To overcome these drawbacks, it is newlinenecessary to eliminate those compounds through hydrotreating process. newlineGenerally, catalysts used in hydrotreating reactions are mixed sulfides or newlineoxides of bifunctional Co-Mo, Ni-Mo, or Ni-W supported and#1048650;-Al2O3 catalysts. newlineCurrently there is an urge to develop a hydrotreating catalyst, which newlineis much more efficient than existing catalyst by modifying the conventional newlinebifunctional catalysts. There are many approaches to modify catalysts. One newlinesuch approach is to use novel ordered mesoporous aluminosilicates as support newlinefor bifunctional catalysts with tunable, excellent textural and acidic properties newlinewith specific morphology. Hence, the objective of the present work is to newlinemainly study and understand the effect of support, promotional effect of NiP newlineand synergetic effect of Ni (S, P, O) for Mo (S, O) catalysts for hydrotreating newlinereaction in detail. newline newline |
