Abstract: | The classical economic production quantity model has been newlinegenerally employed in practice as a consequence of its straightforwardness newlineand it is a well-established technique in inventory management. In newlinemanufacturing systems that engages on the production of items within the newlinesystem as opposed to sourcing these items from external suppliers the newlineeconomic production quantity representation is regularly used in the newlineestablishment of the most advantages production lot-size, which reduces the newlinetotal costs of production. The traditional set of ideals concerning the newlineeconomic production quantity representation assures that the quality is fixed newlineat an optimal level. On the other hand, in actual production situation, this newlineassumption does not accurately reflect the reality. The reality is that as a newlineresult of deterioration of processes, or some other associated factors, the newlinecreation of items with imperfect quality cannot be avoided. So, items that are newlinedefective are created in the lots of finished goods. To remedy this situation, newlinethe rework procedure is often implemented to transform the deceives into newlineacceptable quality products. Since the system is imperfect, a number of newlinescraps are created in the course of rework and the cost reduction delivery newlinepolicy is also contemplated in the model. Rooted in these inventory newlineconditions, the functions relating to the total cost and the optimal quantity for newlinea single-stage imperfect production scheme are built up to search for the most newlineadvantageous operational policy newline newline |
