Approaches for web document clustering and reformulated query based document retrieval

Abstract

Recently, the web is considered as the largest data repository, yet it suffers from the information overhead issues due to the accumulation of huge data. Consequently, the web (internet) is organized with millions of high quality documents. The document clustering is done to improve the information retrieval functionalities, topic extraction, summarization and organization of the documents. Basically the clustering technique aims on the enhancement of information retrieval methodologies. Most probably, the clustering techniques are employed in the domain that generates an attempt to browse the organized data or to group the results obtained from the search engine with respective to the query provided by the users. But, it is not too ideal to work alone with the web search environment. Hence dumping tremendous amount of information in web search engine generates complexity for the average users to retrieve the information. So, there is in need of huge requirement to develop the techniques which aids the users to browse and to organise the information from the web in an effective way. newline
