Abstract: | The density, viscosity and ultrasonic velocity measurements were carried out for the ternary mixtures of Acetonitrile + Benzene + Chlorobenzene, Bromo benzene, and Nitro benzene at 303, 308 and 313K over the entire range of composition. From the experimental data, the various acoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility (and#946;), Free length (Lf), free volume (Vf), internal pressure (and#960;i) and their excess values, acoustic impedance (Z), relaxation time (and#964;), Gibband#8223;s free energy (and#916;G), newlineClassicalabsorption co efficient (and#945; / f2), relative association (RA), repulsive term exponent (n), Wadaand#8223;s constant (W)and cohesive energy (H) have been determined using standard expressions. The results were discussed in terms of molecular interactions between the components of the liquid mixtures. From the measured values of density, viscosity and ultrasonic velocity of potassium fluoride and potassium bromide in aqueous lactose solutions (5%, 10% and 15% wt. of lactose) at 303, 308 and 313K, the acoustical parameters like adiabatic compressibility (and#946;), Free length (Lf), relative association (RA), acoustic impedance (Z), relaxation time (and#964;), newlineClassical absorption coefficient (and#945; / f2), apparent molal volume (and#1092;v), apparent newlinemolal compressibility (and#1092;k), limiting apparent molal compressibility ( ), slope (Sk), limiting apparent molal volume ( ), slope (Sv), Falkenhagen coefficient (A), Jones-Dole coefficient (B) and Hydration number (Hn) were calculated. The results were interpreted in terms of solute-solvent and soluteco- solute interactions in lactose systems. newline newline |
