In recent years most of the developed and developing countries are turning towards renewable based power generation to meet their present energy requirement to provide the solution for environment friendly newlinesustainable future However the intermittent nature of the renewable energy newlinesources in particular wind and solar create a considerable mismatch between newlinethe supply and demand In most of the developed nation the increase in newlinepercentage share of the renewable power in the total power generation causes newlinemajor concerns over the integration of these renewable power with the grid newlineresulting grid instability As the percentage share of renewable power newlinegeneration increases globally various measures like (i) implementation of newlineenergy management policies (ii) demand side management through big data newlineanalytics (iii) development of novel power converters (iv) introducing smart newlinecommunication with suitable control and acquisition systems to make the grid newlinesmart and stable In the coming decade modernizing the grid will help the newlineenergy sector in the nation as well as the state to meet the various challenges newlineof handling projected energy needs as well as increasing energy from newlinerenewable sources while maintaining a robust and resilient electricity delivery newlinesystem newline newline
