dc.description.abstractMobile Ad hoc NET work MANET is a distributed network of several wireless mobile nodes exchanging information with each other without any centralized devices such as access point or base station Mobile phones, laptops and Personal Data Assistants PDA s are some of the examples of nodes Mobile nodes involved in a MANET should collaborate among themselves to perform the network functions such as an end system and also as a router to find out and maintain routes to other nodes in the network MANET is mainly used in emergency management services military applications class rooms conference halls etc Due to the mobility of the nodes a single path routing can be broken easily which may leads to transmission failures This makes the protocol unreliable and the route invalid Multipath routing has many alternative paths between the source and destination and balance the load finer than single path routing Multipath routing protocols MRP can simply recover the path failure by using alternative paths while offering fault tolerance and bandwidth aggregation There are many challenges within MANET that make them very complex to incorporate with the existing worldwide internet The challenges are multi hop routing autonomous and infrastructure less network dynamically changing network topologies variation in link and node capabilities network scalability Quality of Service QoS and security newline
