Abstract: This doctoral work identifies and analyses the critical success factors governing ERP life cycles from selecting means to implementation heading to an end keeping system-success and system-alive. Because the newlineprocess manufacturing industries are operating in an unpredictable business newlineenvironment and forced to run on tremendous challenges to controlling newlineinventory functions that extend for expanded markets to satisfy customer newlineexpectation. Also, enterprises require inventory control with accountability newlinewhich is the most important one to perform better shop floor operations, newlinewhich includes production and product planning, shipping, and on-time newlinedelivery in process manufacturing industry. However, process inventory newlinecontrols exact item needed in reality that may differ from other manufacturing newlineprocesses. It requires an accurate real-time inventory and should have more newlinevisibility and traceability that is a preliminary requirement to maintaining newlinequality and to facilitating efficient planning in production activities. newlineAlthough, the final product deals with formulas and recipes, measuring newlineblending of various ingredients that account for different units of measures newlinethat are harder to control in the records and reports as per company newlinerequirements. Creating accurate and maintaining a real-base line of inventory newlinein a system is the key critical success factors for a process industry. newlineThe research was conducted within a detergent industry having the newlineprocess environment that requires a sustainable inventory and traceability into newlinetheir implemented ERP system. As a result, simply having ERP solution is not newlineto enough realise an opportunity for achieving to support business process. newline newline newline
