Abstract: | Applications including multimedia through digital broadcast are newlineprogressively more significant for different types of gadgets such as Personal Data newlineAssistants PDAs Mobile Laptop etc With the variable nature of real time newlinevideo and the limitations in bandwidth arises the need for scalability in video newlinecoding H264 Advanced Video Coding AVC is extended to Scalable Video newlineCoding SVC to achieve scalability in different kinds of applications SVC can newlineoperate on different types of electronic gadgets with its scalable feature The newlinescalable content is delivered to user gadget based on the scalable demands of the newlineuser SVC offers improved degrees of scalability and shown essential superior newlinecoding efficiency related to the past video coding standard profiles of scalability newlineThough superior performance in coding is achieved at the cost of computational newlinecomplexity So the computational complexity is the limiting factor of the SVC newlineencoder for its application If every application widely adopts SVC then SVC newlineencoder must adopt an algorithm to reduce the computational complexity newlineavoiding any significant loss in compression and the coding efficiency are newlineextremely enviable newline newline |
