Abstract: | In optical communication network the light is used to transmit the data for a long distance through the Single Mode Fiber SMF The SMF for each user is difficult to launch because it is more expensive and requires a huge newlineinfrastructure for routing For the above problem the DWDM technology with SMF increases the number of users with narrow channel spacing such as 02 nm04 nm08 nm16 nm of different wavelengths in single fiber newlineDWDM demultiplexer performs less in terms of uniform channel spacing and newlinespectral width number of channels device size multi function device taper newlinedemultiplexer and PointtoPoint DWDM network Furthermore the optical newlinenetwork with Photonic Crystal PC is able to control hundreds of channels with nanometer scale In this thesis the design and analysis of DWDM demultiplexer in triangular and square lattice are proposed The proposed square lattice provides the partial Photonic Band Gap PBG compared to the triangular newlinelattice Furthermore the ITU standard DWDM demultiplexer is designed in the lattice to support the vendors for implementation of real time system The newlinePBG for the array of rods before introducing the defect is simulated using Plane Wave Expansion PWE method newline newline |
