dc.description.abstractnewlineIn a modern era, users always wish to encrypt the information in such a way, one and only correct keys are used to recover the information. The information includes data, images and videos. Day by day, the security of the conventional methods is enhanced by powerful encryption algorithms. Secure communication is maintained not only on algorithms, but also on a key. The length of the keys must be picked in such a way, it should be unbreakable. It should take irrational time to break the key even though using high speed of computers. But as the length of the keys goes longer, processing speed also becomes down. Optical technologies use several degrees of freedom to encode the images. Due to these attackers find very difficult for encryption and decryption techniques. Cryptosystem classified into two categories; Symmetric cryptosystem and Asymmetric cryptosystem. An asymmetric cryptosystem based on phase truncation and amplitude truncation approach shows high robustness against attacks. It is always necessary to design an asymmetric cryptosystem. If the cryptosystem uses traditional random phase masks, it is not possible to solve any type of attacks. Hence, the construction of new types of phase masks are highly needed for secure communication. Due to this, an adversary will definitely fail in trying a traditional key. Hence, optical image encryption techniques are proposed with the construction of various phase masks in different transforms.
