Abstract: ABSTRACT newlineCancer is one of the prime causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide where even newlinethe recent advancements in health care fail to give assurance on patient survival. newlineNanomedicine represents an innovative field with immense potential for improving newlinecancer treatment, having ushered in several established drug delivery platforms. newlineMetallic nanoparticles bio functionalized with bioactive agents are widely used in newlinenano medical approaches and are forwarding towards research based clinical trials. newlineFigs grow on the Ficus tree which is a member of the Mulberry family endowing with newlinedetumescence, anti-inflammation, antivirus bioactivities and anti-cancerous activity. newlineIn the course of the present research the fruits have been collected from the Western newlineGhats region of Kanyakumari District and the fruit extracts have been analyzed by newlinedifferent laboratory techniques. Further the extracts were subjected to phytochemical newlineanalysis for the presence of Flavonoids, Alkaloids, Saponins, and Steroids. Based on newlinethe phytochemical analysis the anti-cancerous compounds have been identified and newlinepurified from the fruit extract. Anti-cancerous compound were subjected to newlinebioinformatics studies, including structure prediction, docking, modelling of the newlineproteinaceous and drug compounds present in the extract. Nano vehicle is necessary newlineto carry the drug to the target. Nano particles were synthesized, characterized and used newlineas a nano vehicle. The nano particles were bioconjugated with the anti-cancerous newlinecompound of the fruit extract for drug delivery. Finally, the effectiveness of drug newlinedelivery to the cancer cells carried out by both in vitro and in silico techniques were newlinecompared with the conventional techniques. This could be developed into a novel newlinemedicinal therapy from fruit sources, which could also drastically improve the newlineefficiency of the anticancer drugs currently available. newline newline
