Abstract: Organizational climate is one of the key elements of working environment. Positive newlineperception about the work environment by its employees contributes positively to newlinebusiness outcome. A healthy organizational climate is created by factors influencing newlineemployeeand#8223;s perception which includes leadership quality, decisions making process, newlinerecognition of employeeand#8223;s efforts, responsibility, organisational structure and newlineemployeeand#8223;s motivation. A rapid change in the field of technology has brought newlinesignificant changes in organizational working environment and has given rise to newlinenewer form of technology based business organisations. BPO sector is one such newlineupcoming organisation that has the potential of generating employment opportunities newlineespecially in our country. newlinePresent research is aimed at understanding the perceived organisational climate, newlinestress, behavioural symptoms, isolation and counselling needs of BPO employees. newlineThe objective of the study was to understand the need for counselling among BPO newlineemployees. Appropriate assessment and statistical tools were used to collect the data newlineand analyse the same. newlineThe analysis of the data reveals that there is a significant relationship between newlineperceived organisational climate, level of stress, behavioural symptoms and isolation newlineamong three BPO organisations. There is a significant relationship between the newlineperceived organisational climate and level of stress among BPO employees. There is a newlinedifference on the perceived behavioural symptoms among male-female, marriedunmarried and day-night shift BPO employees. With the two case studies it was found newlinethat both the personal as well as job related factors contribute to perceiving the newlineorganisational climate as negative, leading to high level of perceived stress, more newlinebehavioural symptoms and a greater degree of isolation among BPO employees.
