Abstract: | The supramolecular chemistry deals with the behavior of intermolecular interaction taking place between the host guest system The host guest chemistry describes complexes that are composed of two or more molecules or ions that are held together in unique structural relationships by forces other than those of full covalent bonds and also encompasses the idea of molecular recognition and interactions through non covalent bonding There are four commonly mentioned types of non covalent interactions hydrogen bonds ionic bonds vander Waals forces and hydrophobic interactions The cyclodextrin is the most promising host to form inclusion complexes especially with different guest molecules with proper structure Cyclodextrins are the neutral macromolecules and oligosaccharides which consist of six seven and eight and#945; b D glucopyranose units are represented as and#945; and#946; and and#947; cyclodextrins respectively Attempts have been made i to determine the stoichiometric ratio and binding constant values of host guest complexes between antidepressants and and#946; Cyclodextrin in solution ii to analyze the solid inclusion complex using FT IR SEM TG DSC and Powder XRD iii to propose the structure and orientation of the complex by molecular docking study and also iv to check whether the complex formation enhances the cytotoxic nature for pure drug or not ie in vitro cytotoxic effect of the anti depressant drugs are studied against breast cancer cell line newline |
