Abstract: Data storage in the cloud environment has become an emerging trend in many business enterprises and Information Technology IT organizations Cloud storage is the process of online storage of data on the virtual servers in the cloud The stored data can be accessed by the multiple users and distributed resources across the cloud environment The main objective of cloud computing is to share the data computation over the data centers user devices and cloud services Since the user does not have physical ownership for the outsourced data in the cloud environment data integrity becomes a major threat in the case of limited computing resources Hence there is a need to improve security of the data while maintaining the data integrity In this case the Third Party Auditor TPA is introduced to improve the data integrity and security in the cloud This leads to the communication overhead and higher delay when there are bandwidth constraints across the cloud user and server The initial phase of the research work proposes a method for improving data integrity without the help of TPA as the data owner can set the access parameters for the data stored in the cloud Thus the Cloud Service Provider CSP cannot access the data without the knowledge of the data owner The communication cost is reduced and leakage of data is prevented since there is no need for sharing the data between the user and TPA The experimental results show that the computational delay and storage overhead of the proposed method without TPA are lower than the existing system with TPA newline
