dc.description.abstractElectrical Discharge Machining has made it possible to machine complicated profiles in advanced materials which are very difficult to machine by conventional machining processes Similarly EDM in the micro domain has opened up the possibility of manufacturing micro components for various applications With the advent of miniaturization it is increasingly important to develop technologies that can meet the requirements of micro manufacturing Micro EDM is one of the possible technologies However and#956;EDM technology is still not mature and so needs investigations to improve newlinethe design as well as its performance Material Removal Rate and overcut are the major parameters that need to be optimized Keeping in view of these requirements this research focuses on development of experimental setup which consists of different systems like newlinemechanical machining unit micro tool electrode feeding system, sparkgap control system dielectric supply and circulation system and pulsed power supply system newlineen_US
